| Swim |
Forest Lake located at 1000 Hills
State Park is the swim venue. The lake swim conditions are:
78 degrees, with an air temp. of approx. 80 degrees (typical
conditions). Forest Lake serves as the primary water supply
for Kirksville.
The preliminary water temp. is taken by the race director
the day before the event. The USA Triathlon referee officially
checks the water temp. one hour before the race and declares
it a wetsuit/no wetsuit race. We officially open the swim
beach for warm up at 7:15 am when the lifeguards are on duty. |
